We all have been presented with situations at times that could make us question everything in our lives including our very existence. In these moments we find ourselves in a “tug of war” in which we are our own worst enemy. Not able to take guidance or unwilling to do so.
As someone very dear to me told me once, “life is a journey, not a destination.” I am indeed young, naive, and full of life. I too sometimes seek the arrival of were I will remain, but again why are we so eager to get there? Is the present so dreadful that we cannot look upon it even if its to at least learn from it?
We all crave love, and have so much of it to reciprocate in return. Though is it because of the hunger for this indescribable emotion that at any opportunity that we are given to receive it, even if its in the most miniscule manner that we launch to grab it not caring about the amount, or even if its kindness dressed as love. We are hunters for love, though we must be careful and not get carried away for at many times we’ll mistake a cat for a baby tiger.
I am human and I too have mistaken the cat for the baby tiger, and I will probably to do so again or maybe not, I don’t know what the future has in store.
I don’t want to yearn to know, I want to know or do I? Yes, life is to short, and precious to be wondering about the unknown. Some of us are not open-books, and we refrain from asking those who are closed out of fear, the fear of knowing what lies beneath and if we’re even prepared for it. When it comes to love though; this feeling of sublime ecstasy with at times sorrow and pain, we want to know if we’re receiving in return what we have given. A vague answer won’t due, we are for the most, sensitive creatures that become vulnerable once exposed and regain our strength when reminded that in actuality we are not exposed with truth and honesty. With that said though at times it comes quietly, so do beware because you may actually know without knowing!
